Our History
The San Day Surgery Hornsby, previously known as the Hornsby Day Surgery Centre (HDSC), was purchased by Adventist HealthCare Limited (formerly known as ‘Sydney Adventist Hospital Limited’) in December 2001. Designed and built by Dr J David Wilson, the HDSC first opened in August 1986. It was the first purpose-built day surgery unit in NSW, and the first private unit to be licensed in NSW.
Adventist HealthCare Limited renamed the hospital and a comprehensive refurbishment of the facility was completed in October 2004.
